How to unblock Regedit

Some malware can disable access to your Registry. If this happens you may get this error, when you try to open Regedit:

"Registry editing has been disabled by your administrator"

If you have administrative account and still receive this message, there's no doubt: MALWARE. So, run some antivirus program and clean your computer, but before that you can unblock access to your Regedit in a few steps:
  • open Start >> Run
  • then just enter this code and hit Enter:
REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f

Now, your Regedit works again.
